Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Moneyoga located?
In Navi Mumbai, India.
Is access to Moneyoga.com completely free?
Yes.
Why do some pages not work 100% properly?
Because we are still in 'Beta' mode - and we'd appreciate you telling us which pages aren't working well.
Just use the feedback form - thanks for your help!
Will Moneyoga sell stock recommendations, paid subscription / newsletters, SMS tips?
Not right away, but one of the models which will help pay for the site will be paid subscriptions, introduced later.
Does Moneyoga intend to become a brokerage, mutual fund, index fund?
That's not in our current set of plans, but there is a lot of scope for using Moneyoga's strategies in these avenues; We'll consider them when the time is ripe..
Is Moneyoga looking for investors?
Yes, for angel/seed level investment. We have a business plan, an idea of where we want to be and a lot of detail on how we'll get there. Please contact us at contactus[at] moneyoga [dot] com. (We are not portfolio managers - we do not invest on behalf of third parties.)
Is Moneyoga looking for employees?
Yes, for a few good men and women. And mostly the kind that can survive on Maggi noodles, stock options & trading! Send us a mail if you're interested.
Does Moneyoga intend to become a portfolio management service (PMS) or a hedge fund?
Good question.
Will the Moneyoga site have message-boards?
Nope.
Is Moneyoga a personal finance site where I can compare loans, fixed deposits, credit card deals, etc.?
Nope. There are many sites where you can do this and we don't have much to add, honestly.
Who is Moneyoga’s target audience?
We are targeting investors & traders who are familiar with the Indian markets, with futures & options, online brokerages, and such. Those new to investing may wish to use online tutorials (offered by several sites such as NSE, BSE, Rediff, etc.) and then visit Moneyoga for advanced analytics & trading strategies.
What are the data sources for Moneyoga’s stock, index, future & option charts / tables?
NSE and SEBI.
Will Moneyoga become a charting site?
No. The charts at Moneyoga will remain fairly simple, perhaps with the addition of a few more time-frames. But if you are looking for custom date ranges, zooming in & out, tons of technical indicators and such, please visit Yahoo Finance, icharts.in or some of the resources listed here.
Will Moneyoga provide portfolio tracking tools?
Yes. We had earlier decided to NOT do this, but have changed our mind, given that this is the #1 demanded feature of all. We will add this facility very soon.
Will Moneyoga provide commentary on investments in ULIPs, Mutual Funds, Small caps, etc.?
No. But we encourage you to ask questions & participate in discussions related to investing at our blogs.
